Bible Verse Of The Day

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.

If you love God and live for him everyday all the things that happen in your life, even the bad things, he will work them out for good in the end. Let God take over in your life today and live for him. Good Day and God Bless.

Christians Should Not Worry

In Matthew 6 Jesus tells us as Christians not to worry.

Do Not Worry

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?

28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

There are many things in the world today that you could worry about, but Jesus tells us in no uncertain terms not to worry. I was listening to Dr. Charles Stanley and he put it this way, when Jesus says not to worry, he is actually telling us to trust him. If we give all our cares to him and let go of all of the negativity we will live a much happier life. Put God first in your life today and good things will begin to happen. Good Day and God Bless.

A verse that stood out this morning

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith."
Rom 1:17

Casting Crowns - Praise You In The Storm

Hello

I want to start off saying thanks to my good friend Mark for creating this site. Mark, Jason, and myself have been friends for a long time. Although life has taken us down different paths at times, our friendship always bring us back together. The Lord has even blessed us to begin our Christian walk in life together.

I would like to give my testimony. Even though I have been a strong believer in the Lord, I didn't think it was necessary for going to church. Then I realized that there was something missing in my life. My sister had tried for many years to get me to start going to church. I was always denying it just for the fact that I felt like she was trying to force it on me. I finally got to that point in my life where I had to do something different. I didn't like the path that my life was taking me down so I started attending church. I went to church with my sister a couple of times and then our friend Tim invited us down to church that he attends. After I visited there a couple times I was saved and August 30, 2009 I was baptized. I am now a member of the Jubilee Christian Assembly. It is just a wonderful feeling when you dedicate your life to the Lord and he gives you many blessings for it. I now feel like my life is finally on the right path.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9

Bible Verse Of The Day

1 Corinthians 13:8 (New International Version)

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

The Bible tells us that Love will never fail. Even though other things may fade away or fall apart, Love is eternal.

Audio Message #1

Mike Farris "Can`t No Grave Hold This Body Down"

I enjoy this one very much.

Hi Everyone

First off, I would like to say thanks for checking out our blog site. Secondly, I would like to thank my great friend Mark for creating this site for us all to share. We intend to make this a place for you to post your thoughts, music, prayer requests, & basically anything you feel you need to share with other Christians.

Now I would like to give my testimony. I started going to church & was saved in August of 2009. I then got baptized on September 20th 2009. I just want to say how great things have been since I have dedicated my life to the Lord. He is there for everything we need. I am thankful for such a great life & everything I have been blessed with. I know that He has a plan for us all & I hope to continue in the direction He has intended for me.

Again, thanks for visiting & feel free to join. We have big things planned for this site, so any contribution is greatly appreciated.

God Bless

Let Go and Let God

A beautiful song with a powerful message.

Bible Verse Of The Day

Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Faith in God is what we must live by. Without faith we are setting ourselves up to fail. Sometimes our situation can seem so overwhelming that we are scared to do anything about it, but just as God says in this verse, you have to be strong and courageous because God is with you wherever you go. Good Day and God Bless.

I Need You To Survive (Hezekiah Walker)

I love this song. If you are in need or know someone who is, listen to these words. Let them know how you feel about them, tell them you are there for them, just show them they don't have to go through things alone, and let them know that they mean more to you than they realize.

Bible Verse Of The Day

Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version)

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

There has been a lot going on in my life lately and this verse from Jeremiah is very comforting to think about. It doesn't matter what you have been through or what you are going through right now, in the end God will be there for you and if you are obedient to him he will put you in the best situation possible for you. God must have really wanted me to think about this verse lately, he led me to this passage the other day and at church last night the message was centered around this verse, God is working in our world today. God gives us hope and we have to be faithful and know that through his power we will be taken care of. If you are going through a troubling situation in your life right now, pray about it and read God's word, also seek out a friend that you can talk to. The power of God is unstoppable. Good Day and God Bless.

A New Day

Hello there, my name is Mark and I have decided to start this blog. Hopefully it will bring Christians together and help others find Christ. I am not an Ordained Pastor, I am just a follower of Christ that is trying spread the Gospel. As Jesus stated in John 13:16, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." So according to this passage as a Christian we are all ordained to spread the word in the name of Jesus Christ. I plan to have some audio messages here that you can listen to, sometimes I may have a musical guest, or we may just meditate over some verses together. Hopefully, I can update the site a few times a day. Also, you are welcome to send me any prayer requests that may be on your heart and mind. So to finish up the first post I want to explain the name of this blog, Come Together In My Name. In Matthew 18:20 Jesus says, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." So if I am here and you are here, Jesus is here with us. God Bless you and have a safe and happy week. I appreciate any comments that you may have.
